See Sewが目指していること

CONCEPT

障害のある人が得意とする丁寧な手仕事と、デジタルファブリケーションの融合で生まれたSee Sewは、素直にモノの魅力から手にとってもらえるような製品を目指しました。ブランド名のSee Sewは、遊具のシーソー（seesaw）をヒントに、sew（縫う）の綴りに置換えた造語です。シーソーのように、自分だけではなく相手（仲間）と共にバランスをとりながら作り上げるプロジェクトであり、現代の暮らしに寄り添い、さりげなく日常を彩るフェルト小物のシリーズです。

"The aim of See Sew"

See Sew was born from a fusion of polite hand work that people with disabilities are good at and digital fabrication, we aimed for products that will be chosen from the attractiveness of things. The brand name See Sew is a coined word inspired by a playground equipment seesaw. This project is built by not only oneself but also with our partner like on a seesaw while keeping a balance, and the series of felt accessories that cuddle up to modern lifestyle and color your daily life moderately.

様々な個性を巻きこんで

しばしば、ひとの「個性」は「創造性」と同じような意味で語られることがあります。障害を持った人の中には素晴らしい絵が描けるなど、芸術表現において高い能力を持っていることがありますが、すべての人がそうとは限りません。その代わりにコツコツと地道に作業をこなし、素晴らしいものを作り出せる人も多く存在します。これも立派な「個性」であり創造的な営みといえるのではないでしょうか。

See Sew を生み出すにあたって、開発の初期段階から彼らを “デザインパートナー” として巻込み ( インクルード )、協同でプロジェクトを進めてきました。デザイナーは彼らの能力の高さと、出来ることの限界を見つめ、一緒に作り上げることのできるデザインを提案し、See Sew の製品が誕生しました。

"Involving various personalities"

Often, individuality is said the same meaning as creativity. There are some people who have advanced artisticw activities among people with disabilities such as drawing great paint but not everyone. Instead of advanced artistic activities, a lot of those people work steadily little by little, make something wonderful this is also an admirable individuality and creative activities. See Sew project includes people with disabilities as design partners from the early stages of development when this brand was founded then we have been promoting the project in collaboration. The designer focused their high ability and the limit of what they can, suggested the design that can make together.
